Software Maintenance Plans

The Navicat Software Maintenance Plan is a cost-effective and comprehensive program that offers priority email support, live chat support services, software upgrades and bug fix releases at no additional cost during the protection period.

Subscribing to the Navicat Maintenance Plan allows your organization to keep up with the latest Navicat developments. To Receive all upcoming features and functions to continuously enhancing your Navicat experience.

The cost of Navicat Software Maintenance is determined by its product price, and is calculated as follows:

Maintenance Plan includes:

All Major Software Releases and bug fix releases during the protection period.
Priority Email Technical Support is provided at the Navicat Support Center, our technical professionals will respond within 1-2 business days during APAC business hours (Monday - Friday, 10am – 7pm GMT+8).

Protection Period:

The protection period begins from your software purchase date, and will be extended for a period of an exact 12, 24 or 36-month depending on the plan you purchase.

For each purchase of Navicat, customers are given a 90-day complimentary maintenance starting from the date of purchase. During the protection period, customers will be covered by Navicat software maintenance plan and entitled to our priority support service. The last day of this period is also the last day of final subscription to Navicat Maintenance Plan.

*Any subscriptions after this time will not be considered

The start date of your Software Maintenance Plan will be your license purchase date.

How to Purchase Navicat Software maintenance?

Maintenance Plan can only be subscribed within 90 days from your license purchase date.

Customers who do not subscribe to Navicat Software Maintenance Plan within 90 days from the software purchase date will not be able to subscribe to the plan until the next version upgrade is available.

For customers who are not subscribed to Navicat Software Maintenance Plan, major release upgrades are 50% off the new license.

2. How much does Software Maintenance cost?

The price of Software Maintenance Plan is calculated on a percentage of the product listed price on Navicat Online Store. It depends on the products and period of maintenance you purchased.

1-year Maintenance - 75% off the product listed price
2-year Maintenance – 1st year + 80% off the product listed price
3-year Maintenance – 1st year + 2nd year + 90% off the product listed price

e.g.:
Software License = $100,
1-year Maintenance = $100 x 0.25 = $25
2-year Maintenance = $25 + $100 x 0.2 = $45
3-year Maintenance = $25 + $20 + $100 x 0.1 = $55

3. Why should I subscribe to the Software Maintenance Plan?

Subscribing to the Software Maintenance Plan not only allows you to receive priority email support, but also helps saving your money on acquiring the latest version of Navicat. While an Upgrade License of Navicat costs 50% of the new product price, the Software Maintenance only costs as low as 25% of your original product price; Maintenance Plan Subscription allows you to get free major software release at no additional cost.

4. How can I purchase the Software Maintenance Plan?

Navicat allows maintenance plan purchases a total of up to 90 days starting from the date of purchase. If you would like to subscribe to the Software Maintenance Plan, please login to your Customer Center, select “Renew Maintenance” and then place the order.

5. How long does the Software Maintenance Plan last?

The coverage time of the Software Maintenance depends on the plan you subscribe to. Multiple plans available: 12-month, 24-month, and 36-month starting from your purchase date.


6. How can I check the expiry date of my Maintenance Plan?

You will be able to find your maintenance expiry date from your Navicat Customer Center, under the Upgrade section.

7. How can I renew my Software Maintenance Plan?

Renewal of Software Maintenance Plan must be done before its expiry date. To renew your Software Maintenance, please log into your Navicat Customer Center, under Upgrade to find the product(s) you would like to renew the maintenance for, and it is located on the right side of the product(s).


8. Can Software Maintenance Plan be purchased whenever I need?

Navicat Software Maintenance Plan can only be subscribed within 90 days starting from your date of software license purchase. Customer cannot subscribe to the Maintenance Plan after this period.

If you have missed the chance to subscribe to the Maintenance Plan within the first three months of your purchase, you will need to wait and purchase the next version upgrade for a maintenance subscription.
